Playdough

Making Play dough.
Nag Ringa came to visit our class so we could make play dough for our classes together.
First we had to read the recipie.

Then we had turns at adding the ingredients.

We had to be Kaitiaki of ourselves and wait patiently for our turns even though we were very excited and couldn't wait!

We were Kaitiaki of others when we made sure that everyone got a turn at stirring the play dough.

When we had finished cooking we had to divide the play dough evenly between the people in the group. If there was 4 tamariki in our group we divided the play dough into quarters. This was 4 even pieces.

If there was 3 tamariki in our group we had to divide it into thirds. This was 3 even pieces.

Then we had lots of fun playing with our new play dough.

Once we had finished we were Kaitiaki of our environment and gave our class a good tidy up.

Once we were tidy we did some writing about our colourful and sticky play dough.
What lots of fun we are having while learning.

Bubbles

Bubbles

What a fun way to start the year. We read a shared book about bubbles. Then we read it by our selves. We got some bubble mixture and went outside with Nga Ringa. We had lots of fun trying to catch the bubbles. Some went up very high. Some landed on us and POPPED!

After this we went back to class and wrote about bubbles.
We are authors.

What a fun day had by all.
